I placed a link to a video that walks you through Converting from general form to standard form. I need you to also think about how you would have to convert back to general form. We will review it on Monday.

This is the lesson on finding the equations of circles. Remember you will have your Unit 1 Assessment this week so tomorrow we will talk about cross sections and then review. Unit 2 begins to make connections between algebra and geometry. You will use coordinates to prove properties about geometric shapes so you will need to remember some of the properties that you learned before. I have attached the properties of quadrilaterals below. Take a look at them as we move through this next unit.
These are the Formulas that are used to find the missing angle or arc measures in a circle. Additional help with finding missing measures of angles formed from intersecting chords: http://www.virtualnerd.com/geometry/circles/angle-measures-segment-lengths/circle-intersecting-chords-angles-example
Please refer to the syllabus attached below. It will govern the rest of the semester and provide information about what you can expect. If you would like to print a copy to refer to offline please do so as I will not provide a hard copy for you in class.
The Remind Code for your class
Text the following code to 81010. It is @124d0f I will be able to send you reminders, and you will be able to send me questions, etc. Expect a Quiz on Circles once we have completed our discussion on Properties of Circles, including Secants and Tangents. We will also construct Incircles and Circumcircles next week using a compass. I have a class set for you to use. See you next week! |
