This week in geometry we will begin and end unit 3 Right Triangle Trigonometry. To do this we will need to review a few prerequisite skills. The first is simplifying radical expressions, so I have attached a video clip to supplement the mini-lesson that will be taught in class. Take a look.

This week we will complete Unit 1 so you will review on Wednesday and test Thursday. Friday, we will begin Unit 2 and it starts with constructions of basic geometric shapes like perpendicular line segments and angle bisectors. We talked on the first day of school about you getting your own personal compass. Please have those ready to use in class by Friday. I also sent a reminder on Remind101. The compasses can be found at any local store (Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walgreens, etc.)
Edpuzzle has been updated to include Lesson 1.5 Symmetry
Welcome to the first full week of the sprig 2018 semester. I hope you used this bonus day wisely and looked at the Notes for Translations in Edpuzzle. If you have not registered for Edpuzzle yet, please do so. It is a valuable tool that we will be using to help make sure that you are on task even if you miss a day of school. The website is www.edpuzzle.com and your login code is idsorvu. Monday's lesson is already there and Tuesday's is on the way. This week will cover Translations, Reflections, Rotations, and Symmetry and take our 1st quiz.
The Spring 2018 Syllabus is attached below. You can download and print it if you want a hardcopy or save it to your electronic device to refer to later.
We are beginning Unit 4 Circles and Volume today. It is a very vocabulary intensive unit so make sure you are in class and studying daily. Do not forget to use Edpuzzle to take and review notes daily. We will also begin reviewing Units 1 - 3 to keep those concepts fresh in your minds as we approach the Geometry EOC.
